Skylar spent an hour chomping on her bully stick last night and if she chews on it too long it upsets her stomach. As I have been actively working on her stubbornness, I decided to test whether she would drop it with the “leave it” command instead of just taking it from her.  This is how the next few minutes unfolded: Me: Leave it Skylar: Big eyed stare, bully stick dangling from mouth Me: Skylar, leave it! Skylar: Stare Me: LEAVE IT Skylar: Acts as if she’s leaning down to drop it but doesn’t actually drop it Me: Leave it (trying not to laugh) Skylar: BURRRP (while still holding the dangling bully stick) Me: Dies Skylar: Runs under bed with bully stick

Skylar: Big eyed stare, bully stick dangling from mouth

Me: Skylar, leave it!

Skylar: Stare

Me: LEAVE IT

Skylar: Acts as if she’s leaning down to drop it but doesn’t actually drop it

Me: Leave it (trying not to laugh)

Skylar: BURRRP (while still holding the dangling bully stick)

Me: Dies

Skylar: Runs under bed with bully stick
